The Theater Latte Da Annual Gala 2016...
Latte Da is, hands down, the premier musical theater production company in the Twin Cities. It is widely known for it's remarkable actors, it's challenging performances, it's elaborate sets, and its attention to detail.
So...it was an honor to be asked by Latte Da Board member and coordinator for the event, Shannon Pierce, to be the photographer for the Annual Gala this year. I wanted to do it because I had always heard it was a blockbuster,
and I surely wasn't disappointed.
More than 300 guests arrived to a wonderful reception and a room full of silent auction items to raise funds for the theater. There were three separate performance sets by actors with incredible voices who sang about the plays that Latte Da performed this year. Most impressive was a duet by the couple who will star in the
upcoming Sweeney Todd production later this year.
There was also the most amazing fundraising display I have ever seen when they raised nearly $200,000 in 30 minutes! All the patrons had to do was use their phones to access an internet-based cloud system to declare their personal contributions while the donations appeared on huge projection screens by the stage in real time.
It was a wonderful evening and the patrons of this spectacular theater company enjoyed every minute of it.
Hats off to Latte Da and the Stagetime Productions staff who made it work so perfectly!
